So why do you need to know Linda?
Because Linda is your main customer. A middle-aged* woman, home-owner, probably shops at Target, and if we’re being honest, has a few inspirational sayings on the walls of her home.

A lot of businesses fail to see results marketing online because they make the mistake of marketing to the masses when they really just need to market to Linda.
The problem is a lot of owners don’t even know what they’re doing wrong.
So I created the Linda test. A highly-irresponsible way to test the quality of a customer's experience with your website.
The great part about it is that it takes about 2 minutes and it’s easy to get a yes or no to each question. You don’t have to fill out a survey or submit any answers. You can keep score in your head.
The bummer about the Linda test is that you really shouldn’t use it as the end all be all of your marketing plan.
A score of 10 is perfect. 9 is good. 8 is fine but anything 6 or lower and you’re leaving some serious cheddar on the table.
The truth is that most small businesses are running with a score of 3 or 4, and they need serious help, because major home service companies run at a 10 full-time.
Of course, these are not the only factors that determine success or failure. If your product/service sucks, no amount of marketing will save you. And it’s possible to find success in business without doing these things. But all else being equal if you get these 10 things right, you’ll have a disciplined online presence that can consistently deliver.
