I'm Marcus. 

I wrote this website sitting on my deck in New Hampshire and now you’re here. Ain’t that something. 

A few ways that could’ve happened: 

1. I sent you the link. 
2. Someone you know sent you the link. 
3. You saw my post on social media. 

Because of my job I’ve been able to meet and learn from local business owners for the last 7 years. 

Occasionally I write a post to share some of the things I’ve learned or help people avoid some of the marketing mistakes I’ve made.

Before you get to the meat and potatoes of the site, there are a few things I need to address. 

1. We Are Both in a Hurry

You don't have time to read a book. I don't have time to write one. 

So I made all the marketing content on this site short enough for you to read while pooping. Or as my dad likes to call it.. "taking the Browns to the Super Bowl."

Because of that, I’m going to oversimplify some complicated subjects. 

Yes, marketing is simple. But simple does not mean easy. 

• Eating healthy is simple, not easy. 
• Getting in shape? Simple. Not easy.
• Talking to the best looking woman at the party is simple, not easy.

Marketing online is a challenge. 

The good news is if you operate a business, that’s proof you can do challenging things.

2. Who This Website is For

This is not a website for people who think they know everything about marketing or running a business. 

It’s for young hopefuls and veterans who are still in search of ways of improving their batting average at the cash register. 

3. If You Think I’m Stupid For Making This Site

It probably is stupid to give away the recipe I use to market home service businesses in my area for free.

You could take all the information from this site and successfully market your business yourself. 

If you're just starting your business, you should.

Once you have a few crews and it’s more profitable to spend time operating the business than managing marketing, hire someone else to take it off your plate.
